Top things to do in London this Christmas

Curious about what to do in London this Christmas? Don’t know where to start? London is a very big, beautiful city and during this time of the year shows its best!

So, wrap up warm and go experience some of these ideas around the city:

Christmas markets

Leicester Square
A super central location, just in the middle of the entertaining Leicester Square full of cinemas and theatres, street performers and big brand stores, this Christmas market is not big, but it is very nice.

Here you can try to win a holiday with Hilton, just sharing your GIF on social media. You will find stalls with winter food like really yummy French raclette, prepared in front of you or chocolate fountains for strawberry dipping. You will also be able to do some Christmas shopping as there are many stalls with jewellery, scarves, hats, gloves and other personalised cute gifts.
Southbank
This is a little market by the South bank river, minutes from the London Eye. There is also a theme park just behind it

Winter Forest Bishop Gate
This market is supposed to be like those German-Italian markets with pretty trees covered in fake snow and cute lights all around. It is very nice but there isn’t much on other than a few stalls and a heated outdoor bar. It is worth giving a shot if you are in the area.

Ice skating
Top thing to do in London this Christmas is ice skating! It is such a festive and popular activity!
Somerset House
Somerset house is the most beautiful and magical location for ice skating in London. The ice rink is in the court-yard of the neoclassical building, situated on the south side of the Strand in central London. I suggest you book in advance as this attraction is extremely popular and it gets easily sold out, especially at weekends. It is wholesome fun for any age, the vibe is great and very romantic! Perfect for a night out with friends or family!
National History Museum
This is my second favourite ice rink in London. It is situated in the outside premises of the amazing National History museum in South Kensington with a big Christmas tree in the middle. The location is amazing and attracts a lot of people every year, so again I would recommend booking in advance and choose a time of the day where is not overcrowded to have the best of it.
Winter Wonderland ice skating
This is one of the largest ice rinks in town and very popular attraction inside Winter Wonderland. Skate with cool live music, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, try a spin and have plenty of fun!

Winter Wonderland
Another top thing to do at Christmas in London is this extravagant attraction. Gather your friends and drag them for an afternoon of festive fun at Winter Wonderland, the temporary fun park located in the middle of the glorious Hyde Park! Warm up yourself with mulled wine, have a ride on scary rollercoasters, get lot of adrenaline and playful fun, that’s exactly the attraction you need for these chilly days! Have a stroll around, enjoy the Christmas lights and eat some Bavarian Bratwurst or chicken and flame-grilled salmon. Don’t forget the Bavarian beers! Yum!
